We have started a cookbook club and you are invited!
Our first selection is Sarah Copeland’s Every Day Is Saturday
“For everything, there is a season” not only applies to the weather and sowing crops but it is an apt description of our relationship to cooking throughout our lives. If you have ever found yourself struggling to prepare an inspired meal, getting by with a passable meal during your busy weeks, or mourning the time you used to have to indulge your love of cooking, Copeland struggled with this herself.
As a successful author, recipe developer, and photographer, she found herself with a dream job that no longer allowed for space for the very thing she was passionate about. Worse yet, her job was to write about and inspire others to do just that; cook meals for themselves, nourish themselves and connect with others around a table.
Our goal for this cookbook club is to provide a platform for connection in our community through food. It is our desire to encourage participants to step outside of their comfort zone, inspire exploration, and empower people through the ups and downs, triumphs and failures, and navigating the seasons of falling in and out of love with cooking and baking. Chosen titles may be new releases, old favorites, or even books on the topic of food. We hope you will delve into each title and cook what you can. When we meet, members who chose to attend the event will be asked to prepare a recipe from the book to enjoy potluck-style. We will moderate a discussion and there will be the opportunity to shop Goods privately.
When: Sunday, April 26th
